Anthony Diaz began his career in insurance in 1976, and in 1977 was honored as Acacia Mutual's Bay Area New Agent of the Year. Since that time he has won numerous achievement and client satisfaction awards, including The Guardian Life Presidential Citation Award for outstanding achievement in field management in 1984 and 1985. Additionally he has spent a significant portion of his career mentoring and coaching other agents.

In 1995 he made the decision to become an independent employee benefits specialist and moved his practice to Modesto, CA. where he maintains a diverse client base. Past and present clients range from small start ups to large established companies and include the oldest continuous business in San Francisco.
